Oak Hill Family Dentistry provides selected orthodontic services in a general dental practice, including clear aligner therapy and retainers. Treatment begins with an evaluation of tooth position, bite, gum health, growth when relevant, and your goals.
Clear Aligner Therapy
Clear aligners use a planned series of removable trays to move teeth gradually. They must be worn as directed, removed for eating and cleaning, and monitored with scheduled visits. Attachments, refinements, or other steps may be needed. Aligners are not appropriate for every bite or tooth movement.
Retainers
Retainers help hold teeth after active orthodontic treatment. The type and wear schedule depend on the case. Retainers can wear, crack, or stop fitting as teeth shift, so contact the office rather than forcing one that no longer seats normally.
Braces and Referral Options
For selected patients, braces or another orthodontic approach may be discussed. Complex tooth movement, jaw-growth concerns, impacted teeth, surgical needs, or other findings may be better managed with an orthodontic specialist. If referral is appropriate, we will explain why.

During Treatment
Successful treatment depends on keeping appointments, wearing appliances as directed, and maintaining excellent brushing and flossing. Broken appliances, trays that stop fitting, new pain, or gum problems should be reported promptly. A retainer is usually needed after active treatment because teeth can move over time.
